Group performer; won a Haydock maiden on his debut in September 2016 and was subsequently purchased by Godolphin; followed up in the Group 3 Greenham Stakes at Newbury in April 2017 before a fine second to Churchill in the 2000 Guineas; gained a deserved first Group 1 success when decisive winner of the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot; just missed out when held by Ulysses in the Eclipse upped to 1m2f at Sandown; third to old rival Ulysses in the Juddmonte International at York in August; down the field on soft in Group 1 Champion Stakes back at Ascot in October; retired to Dalham Hall Stud but had fertility problems and returned to racing in May 2019, finishing second in a Listed race at Ascot before winnng the Listed Prix de Montretout at Longchamp; not so good when eighth in Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot; made winning return in Group 2 over 9f in January 2020 at Meydan and repeated that level when collecting the Group 1 Jebel Hatta on next outing; returned from a break with a fine third in the Prince Of Wales's Stakes before landing a 1m2f Group 1 at Munich; only fourth in another Group 1 over 12f the following month but secured a first success over that distance next time on quicker ground in the Group 1 Grosser Preis Von Baden; encouraging fourth in Group 3 Darley Stakes at Newmarket (9f) when next seen in October 2021; bettered that when second in Bahran Internatonal Trohy at Sakhir (10f) in November.
