Very smart juvenile for Roger Varian, notably winning the Listed Washington Singer Stakes at Newbury and the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes at Newmarket; switched to Godolphin ahead of 3yo campaign in 2015; patchy record but finished fourth in the Group 1 Irish 2,000 Guineas at the Curragh and was a staying-on third in the Group 2 Challenge Stakes back at Newmarket in October; best run of the year when second to Solow in the Group 1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot; quickened up well to win Listed Doncaster Mile readily on soft on return in April 2016, but unsuited by messy pace when beaten in a Group 2 at Sandown later that month; appreciated the stronger gallop when taking the Group 1 Lockinge Stakes next time out; runner-up in the Group 1 Queen Anne Stakes at Royal Ascot; effective over 7f-1m on fast and easy ground; has worn headgear.
