brother to winners Althiqa (5f-1m inc 2yo/US Gr 1; RPR 113) and Before Dawn (Fr 7f 2yo; 82); beaten a nose when well fancied for 6f maiden at Newbury in May 2022 and duly went one better at same course over 6.5f the following month; handled step up to Group 2 class well next time when finishing third of seven behind Persian Force in the July Stakes over 6f at Newmarket; ran well again in Group 2 Vintage Stakes at Goodwood (7f), finishing third of nine; won Group 3 Prix Francois Boutin (7f) when next seen in August at Deauville; followed up in good style in Grade 1 Summer Stakes at Woodbine (firm) in September; disappointing last of seven in Craven Stakes at Newmarket (1m) when next seen at Newmarket in April 2023; gelded afterwards but left with plenty to prove after another flop in the 7f Jersey Stakes at Ascot in June; much better again when close-up fifth at Meydan (7f) when next seen in December and he duly won his next two starts over the same C&D in January; well below best at Riyadh next time but bounced back to form when second in 1m Grade 3 at Saratoga in June.
