A high-class performer, he was an impressive winner of the Group 3 Solario Stakes at two; bought by Godolphin and switched from Clive Brittain to Saeed bin Suroor, he won the Group 2 Guillaume d'Ornano at Deauville (August 2000) before finishing third behind Giant's Causeway in the Irish Champion Stakes; his crowning moment came at five, when he won the Group 1 Prix d'Ispahan at Longchamp (1m1f55y, May 2002); beaten under half a length into third behind stablemate Grandera and Hawk Wing in the Irish Champion Stakes later that year
