Dubai Souq (IRE)

Very useful handicapper; stepped up markedly on previous efforts when opening his account when landing extended 1m Wolverhampton novice in August 2019; held on handicap debut, but won as he liked on deep ground at Nottingham in October with the aid of first-time cheekpieces; not seen until July of 2020 after that and raced too freely at Ascot; returned after another long break in March 2021, finishing down the field in the Spring Mile at Doncaster; last of three at Musselburgh (12.5f) the following month and held in handicaps over 12f at York and Kempton in May and June (keen both times); remained out of form at Newcastle (10f) in August (last of six) but much better at Yarmouth in September when second of seven over 10f; built on that by winning a 10f Redcar handicap in good style in November; dropped out tamely at Chelmsford (10f) on 2022 return in April and last of seven at Doncaster (10f; good) in June; not seen again that year but returned with a solid second over 10f (soft) at Windsor in May 2023; ran okay at Pontefract when next seen in late July and hosed up by 6l at Nottingham (heavy) on next start in October; disappointing over same C&D later the same month but possibly went off too quick in the conditions; prefers ground with plenty of cut.
