Abduction bids to bounce back to form in the Group One Coolmore Classic over seven and a half furlongs at Rosehill Gardens, Australia, on Saturday, March 14.

The three-year-old filly, who is trained by John O'Shea, endured a luckless run to finish down the field in the seven-furlong Group Two Surround Stakes at Warwick Farm on February 28.

She kept on well to take fifth in the Group One Crown Oaks over 12 and a half furlongs, also at Flemington, on November 6 and was headed near the line to finish second in the 10-furlong Group One Wakeful Stakes at Flemington six days earlier.

The daughter of Street Cry scored by a neck in the Listed Bacardi Reginald Allen Quality at Rosehill Gardens in September.

John O'Shea said: "Abduction finished second-last but was afforded no benefits in transit and I would totally disregard her last race start. Her trials have been excellent and her form prior to that first-up run was even better.

"She has a very good second-up record, likes the Rosehill track and has no weight so by definition I think she can run a very good race here.

"She will tack on to the back of Amicus, who will roll forward and put her into the race - I think she will give us a good sight."

Abduction, ridden by Sam Clipperton for the first time, opposes 12 others including Group One Flight Stakes heroine First Seal, plus Group Three winners Plucky Belle and Mahara.
