Exciting two-year-old Annual Report steps up markedly in class for the G2 Futurity Stakes over six furlongs on dirt at Belmont Park, USA, on Saturday, October 17.
The Kiaran McLaughlin-trained colt made an impressive debut in a dirt maiden over half a furlong shorter at Parx on September 20, when he powered clear to score by five and a quarter lengths under Joe Bravo, who takes the ride again.
Kiaran McLaughlin reported: "This is obviously a big step up for Annual Report but the only real option for a two-year-old maiden winner at this time of year is to go for a race like this.
"He didn't beat the toughest group of horses on his debut but he did it very well because he really opened up in the final furlong.
"He is a nice colt, who does everything right, and we expect him to run well."
Annual Report, drawn two, takes on five other two-year-olds including Saratoga maiden winner Ready Dancer and G2 Summer Stakes third Manhattan Dan.
