Answered's Vintage Second

Answered stayed on when second in the G3 Coolmore Vintage Crop Stakes at Navan, Ireland, on Sunday, May 17.

It was the four-year-old's first attempt at a mile and three quarters following two Listed successes over shorter distances.

Answered, trained by Jim Bolger and ridden by Keving Manning, was settled in fourth as Sir Ector took the eight-strong field along.

The Authorized colt started to move up with three furlongs remaining and challenged for the lead after the quarter-mile point.

He disputed the running but Forgotten Rules went on to win by a length and a quarter in 3m 4.33s on going described as good, good to yielding in places.

Answered kept on and finished four and three quarter lengths ahead of the third, Sir Ector.

Jim Bolger said: "Answered ran a very good race. I am not sure whether he stays 14 furlongs or not.

"There are no plans at the moment but I am more inclined to go back in trip with him."
