Blue Point to miss July Cup

Godolphin sprinter Blue Point is set to by-pass the G1 Darley July Cup at Newmarket on July 15.
Trainer Charlie Appleby reported the colt to have come back from Royal Ascot "a bit jarred up" and in need of a short break.
Blue Point finished a good third to Caravaggio and Harry Angel in an epic G1 Commonwealth Cup.
Appleby said: "He has run a blinder in the Commonwealth, a race many thought was the best race of the five days.
"But he has returned home a bit jarred up. A few weeks off will do him good.
"It means he will miss the July Cup.
"But he will be trained for the G1 Haydock Sprint Cup (on Sept 9)," the trainer added.
