Chancellery rallied near the line to finish a close third on his G3 debut in the Prix Thomas Bryon over a mile at Saint-Cloud, France, on Friday, 1 October.

The Medaglia d’Oro colt, successful in a Longchamp newcomers’ race over the same distance for Andre Fabre at the start of September, soon raced in second of the five runners under Mickael Barzalona on the outside of Dreamflight.

Chancellery tried to challenge Dreamflight entering the final quarter-mile but could not get on terms before Making Moovies passed the Godolphin juvenile over a furlong from home.

Dreamflight found more in front to repel Making Moovies in the closing stages, with Chancellery coming back at the duo in the final strides to go down by a short-neck and a head.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: “Chancellery ran very well on only his second start and was probably beaten by inexperience more than anything else.”
