Clon Brulee is set to make his seasonal return in the Group Three Timeform Jury Stakes at Haydock Park, UK, on Saturday, May 30.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained six-year-old drops down to seven furlongs following a string of good efforts over further last season, most recently when coming home third over nine furlongs in the Group Three Darley Stakes at Newmarket in October.

He won by a neck in an extended 10-furlong Doncaster conditions race in September and ran two excellent races in handicaps over a mile and a quarter in August, taking third in a valuable Sandown Park contest and decisively winning off top-weight at Newmarket.

Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Clon Brulee is suited ideally to good to soft going.

"He is doing well, looks in good form and is ready to go. He needs further than seven furlongs but I think that this is a nice starting point for his season.

"I am hoping for a good run."

Clon Brulee, drawn nine and with William Buick in the saddle for the first time, faces up to 12 rivals including Doncaster Group Two scorer Ansgar, plus Cable Bay, Breton Rock, Aljamaaheer, Captain Cat, Top Notch Tonto and Master Carpenter, who all finished behind Night Of Thunder in the Group One Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes at Newbury earlier this month.
