Contributer goes for a third Group One victory in the Hyland Race Colours Underwood Stakes over nine furlongs at Caulfield, Australia, on Saturday, September 26.
The John O'Shea-trained five-year-old, who previously raced in Europe, enjoyed an exceptional first campaign in Australia last season, winning four times including gaining an impressive success in the 10-furlong Group One Ranvet Stakes at Rosehill Gardens in March.
He also captured the Group One Liverpool City Council Chipping Norton Stakes over a mile at Warwick Farm in February, when he beat stable companion Hartnell by half a length, as well as the Group Two Optus Apollo Stakes and the Group Three David Jones Cup.
Contributer makes his second appearance of this season after keeping on to finish fifth over a mile in the Group Two Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes at Moonee Valley on September 5.
John O'Shea said: "Contributer is significantly fitter and I have forgiven his first-up run where he had a soft draw. This week he has the perfect barrier draw in eight. We will allow him to find his feet and come down the outside of the field and I expect a much improved run
"He still has some improvement to come in terms of fitness but I will be disappointed if he doesn't fight out the finish."
Regular rider James McDonald is back on board Contributer, who opposes 11 including three-time Group One winner Fawkner, Dato Tan Chin Nam Stakes scorer The Cleaner and Australian Derby victor Mongolian Khan.
