Dancing House is out to build on a promising comeback run as she returns to Pattern company for the G3 Barbara Fritchie Handicap over seven furlongs on dirt at Laurel Park, USA, on Saturday, February 13.
The five-year-old mare, who is trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, was runner-up to American champion female sprinter La Verdad on her first appearance for nine months in the non-graded Interborough Stakes over a furlong shorter on dirt at Aqueduct on January 9.
She was successful in allowance optional claimers on both her starts last year, following up a head verdict over an extended seven furlongs on turf at Gulfstream Park with a facile win on dirt in six-furlong contest at Keeneland.
The daughter of Tapit made three Pattern appearances as a two-year-old in 2013, including a staying-on fifth in the G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf at Santa Anita and a good third on dirt in Saratoga's G1 Spinaway Stakes.
Kendrick Carmouche takes the ride for the second time on Dancing House, who is drawn in stall six of the seven runners and races off 8st 6lb.
Kiaran McLaughlin commented: "Dancing House ran second to a champion in La Verdad last time out and we feel that she will have come on for that run.
"There is plenty of speed in this race, which could set it up nicely for us, and we are getting weight from some of the field.
"It's a tough contest but Dancing House is doing very well and we expect her to run a good race."
