Discover the video portraits of the 18 finalists for the 2017 Trophées des Courses et de l’Elevage

On 25 November at Auteuil racecourse, France Galop and their partner, Godolphin, will host an awards’ ceremony to celebrate the talent of the racing and breeding industries in the 2017 Trophées du Personnel des Courses et de l’Elevage.
An initiative of Godolphin’s dating back to 2005 in Great Britain, these awards are now also held in Ireland, Australia and the USA, with the objective of rewarding the people who work behind the scenes in the racing and breeding industries as the backbone of the sport. A judging panel of professionals has been put together to choose the winners, presided by last year’s Employee of the Year, Jean-Bernard Roth.
Jean-Bernard Roth said “I am delighted and proud to be President of the Jury this year, for the second edition of the Trophées. This extraordinary event, created by Godolphin and delivered by the President of France Galop, Edouard de Rothschild, is a key element in the future of our sport, particularly in supporting careers and employment in the industry.
This year I found myself deeply moved by the nominations put forward. We’ve seen some people who are so passionate about their work and I implore trainers, breeders, and all managers in our industry to nominate their staff! There are some incredible stories that deserve to be told to a wider public and are so inspiring to us all. That’s why we do this job, and it’s certainly been true for me over the course of the last forty years!”
With only two days remaining until the winners are announced during the ceremony, you can discover the three finalists in each of the six categories, among whom the winner of the prestigious overall prize of Employee of the Year will be chosen.
