Godolphin's James Doyle, the English jockey who carved a niche for himself in Sydney racing in recent months, is set to make a lighting return to Britain after riding at Randwick on Saturday.

Doyle will first ride back at Newmarket's important Craven Meeting, which commences on Tuesday, and will then be aboard key Godolphin runners, both on English and European tracks during the Spring and Summer.

He has ridden 20 winners during his current Australian stint, which was interrupted by five weeks on the sidelines due to injury.

"I have enjoyed riding in Sydney again. It was a great experience and I was fortunate to ride some very good horses for Godolphin.

"Now, I'm looking forward to getting back for the Craven Meeting at Newmarket.

"It seems there are quite a few Godolphin horses in the picture for the Guineas, and I am looking forward to stepping up to the plate," he said.

Doyle was called on to ride in Australia in late November and may return later this year depending on Godolphin's requirements.
