Exosphere is out to continue his outstanding start to the season, going for a third straight win in the Group Two Canterbury BMW Roman Consul Stakes at Royal Randwick, Australia, on Saturday, October 3.

The John O'Shea-trained three-year-old drops down a furlong following a easy win in the seven-furlong Group One De Bortoli Wines Golden Rose Stakes at Rosehill Gardens on September 12, when he powered clear of the field to score by two and a quarter lengths in a new race record time.

He quickened strongly for a smooth win in the six-furlong Group Two MTA NSW The Run To The Rose Stakes at the same course on August 29, and was successful over the same trip in the in the Group Two Pro-Ride Skyline Stakes at Warwick Farm in February.

James McDonald, who rode Exosphere to victory in the Golden Rose Stakes, partners the Lonhro colt again.

John O'Shea said: "I couldn't be happier with Exosphere and he has freshened up beautifully.

"His work has been first class and he is in great order.

"From gate three, he will be ridden conservatively but there does look to be an abundance of speed.

"He has really gone to another level now and I can't wait to see him perform here."

Exosphere meets 10 other three-year-olds including Group Three San Domenico Stakes winner Japonisme and BMW J J Atkins seventh Counterattack.
