G3 Hanover second for Agathonia

Agathonia again found Ostana just too good when runner-up in the 10-runner G3 Herbst Stutenpreis over 11 furlongs at Hanover, Germany on Sunday, October 29.
The three-year-old Street Cry filly, beaten a neck by Ostana in a Listed race over the same course and distance on October 1, went down by the same margin.
Agathonia, trained by Henri-Alex Pantall and partnered by Daniele Porcu, was settled in mid-division before moving up to chase the leaders with over a quarter-mile to race.
She ran on in the final furlong to challenge the leader Ostana, but could not quite get to grips with the winner, whose time came to 2m 33.79s on the soft going.
Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin commented: “Agathonia has run well again when stepped up in class.”
