G3 Third for Watershed at Monmouth Park

Watershed, trained by Kiaran McLaughlin, finished third in the nine-furlong G3 Philip H Iselin Stakes on dirt at Monmouth Park, USA, on Saturday, August 27.

The four-year Bernardini filly was slightly slow into stride and raced last of the six participants towards the outside.

Watershed was asked to progress by Antonio Gallardo turning for home and took third just before entering the straight.

She kept on without getting to the front two, winner Baccelo , who won in 1m 48.55s, and second Mr Jordan.

Kiaran McLaughlin commented: "Monmouth Park showed a speed bias today and Watershed could not catch up.

"We will try something different next time out."
