Gap Year is out to continue her good run of form as she moves back up in class for the G3 Pin Oak Valley View Stakes over an extended mile on turf at Keeneland, USA, on Saturday, October 24.
The three-year-old filly, representing Kiaran McLaughlin, has made two appearances, both on turf at Saratoga, so far this year and ran on well for a decisive victory on her latest start in an allowance race over the same distance on September 7.
She kept on to finish second in an allowance optional claimer over a mile on August 7.
Joel Rosario, who rode the filly on both occasions, is in the saddle again.
Gap Year raced on dirt last year and the daughter of Bernardini captured an extended mile maiden at Keeneland after finishing seventh over the same course and distance in the G1 Darley Alcibiades Stakes.
Kiaran McLaughlin said: "Gap Year is a very nice filly and has done very well since switching to the turf this year.
"She had a chip in an ankle, so we gave her time off earlier in the year but she loves the turf and it has worked out great.
"It's a tough race but we feel that she has an excellent chance."
Gap Year, drawn five, lines up against 13 other three-year-old fillies headed by Sunset Glow and Osaila, who were second and third in last year's G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf, plus G1 Mother Goose Stakes winner Include Betty.
