Generalife and Sidestep are back from a break to contest the six-furlong Group Three Irresistible Pools & Spas Star Kingdom Stakes at Rosehill Gardens, Australia, on Saturday, March 28.

Five-year-old Generalife (John O'Shea/James McDonald) returns to Rosehill Gardens after a close fourth in a seven-and-a-half-furlong Listed race on his latest start on November 29.

The son of Lonhro was beaten a nose in the Group Three Kevin Heffernan Stakes over six and a half furlongs at Sandown-Hillside on November 15 and recorded a hat-trick of wins at Rosehill Gardens last season, including a pair of comfortable Listed victories.

Sidestep (John O'Shea/Nicholas Hall) was ninth in the six-furlong Group One Winterbottom Stakes at Ascot on November 22 and finished eighth over the same trip in the Group One Darley Stakes at Flemington on November 8.

He captured the Group Two Arrowfield Royal Sovereign Stakes over six furlongs at Royal Randwick in April 2014, and was runner-up in the Group One Golden Slipper as during his juvenile campaign.

John O'Shea reported: "Generalife always races well over 1,200 metres and particularly well at Rosehill.

"He is more than capable of winning this race as there is plenty of speed - he will just sit back and be allowed to attack the line. Hopefully, he gets there in the nick of time.

"Sidestep is a bit of an enigma - his trials have been fair but his work on Tuesday was excellent. If he runs up to that, he will be in the finish of this race.

"He is in good order and can often present with an issue but has been trouble free in this preparation - hopefully that will reflect in his performance here."

Generalife and Sidestep face eight including Rosehill Gardens Group Three victor Target In Sight, three-time Group Two winner Hot Snitzel and Royal Randwick Group Three scorer Heart Testa.
