Godolphin received the Champion Owner title for a 16th time at the end of season finale for the UK Flat season, British Champions Day, at Ascot on Saturday, 19 October.

Horses in the royal blue silks amassed more than £4m in prize money during the season, with Notable Speech recording a historic victory in the G1 2,000 Guineas on the opening day of the championships at Newmarket in May.

Notable Speech became the first Guineas winner since Frankel in 2011 to capture the G1 Sussex Stakes in the same season with another scintillating performance at Goodwood at the end of July.

Hugely exciting juvenile Shadow Of Light recorded a notable G1 double of his own as he followed up victory in the Middle Park Stakes with success in the Darley Dewhurst Stakes at the Dubai Future Champions Festival. Only two other colts have won both races in the last 114 years.

Unbeaten filly Desert Flower heads into the winter with Classic ambitions as well after rounding off her season with a brilliant display in the G1 Fillies’ Mile. A particularly strong crop of juveniles also saw victories for Ancient Truth in the G2 Superlative Stakes and Aomori City in the G2 Vintage Stakes.

Ancient Wisdom and Arabian Crown both enjoyed G3 success and the duo, together with Notable Speech, are due to remain in training as four-year-olds.

Hugh Anderson, Managing Director of Godolphin (UK and Dubai), said: “Everyone at Godolphin is immensely proud to receive the UK Champion Owner trophy for a 16th time.

“It has proved to be another exceptional season, led by our brilliant 2,000 Guineas and Sussex Stakes winner Notable Speech. It’s also particularly exciting to see the next generation coming through, with Shadow Of Light and Desert Flower establishing themselves as the best two-year-olds in the country. With several of our senior stars set to remain in training, we can look forward to 2025 with great anticipation.

“All of our trainers have done a superb job once again, while it has been extremely rewarding to see our homebreds and stallions perform so well. Thank you to every single Godolphin employee, who have all played their part in this success. Our greatest thanks must go to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, whose endless passion for the sport continues to prove an inspiration for us all.”
