Damian Lane and Stephen Baster have been snapped up by Godolphin trainer Saeed bin Suroor for his two runners in Tuesday's G1 Emirates Melbourne Cup at Flemington.
Lane will ride the classy staying filly Beautiful Romance, while Baster has come in for the mount on lightly-raced Secret Number.
"I expect both my horses to be spot on for Tuesday. They have settled in well, and they are training nicely," Saeed said.
Meanwhile, Charlie Appleby has confirmed Craig Williams for Godolphin's G3 Geelong Cup winner Qewy in Tuesday's big race.
Kerrin McEvoy rides Oceanographer for Godolphin in Saturday's G3 Lexus Stakes at Flemington in an attempt to get the gelding into the Cup field. He needs to win to leap-frog a cluster of other lightly-weighted Cup contenders.
McEvoy is already committed to Almandin in the Cup, Chad Schofield has been booked to ride Oceanographer if he runs in the race.
