Godolphin Statement - Racing NSW Stewards Report

Godolphin confirms that two former employees have been found in breach of charges issued following an investigation brought, under the Australian Rules of Racing, by Racing NSW in respect to a horse who suffered from the bacterial condition Strep Equi (Strangles) in August 2016.

No charges were issued against Godolphin Australia.

Interim Managing Director of Godolphin in Australia, Ross Cole said, “We understand this is a very serious matter and we have cooperated with Racing NSW Stewards throughout the investigation.”

“Following the events which have resulted in this inquiry, we have reviewed and implemented changes across our organisation which will further ensure the highest standards of regulatory reporting is met in every circumstance.”

“We look forward to the 2017/18 racing season and a new era for our training team under Head Trainer James Cummings,” Cole said.
