Three Saeed bin Suroor-trained raiders are due to run at Veliefendi, Turkey, on Sunday, September 3.

Dream Castle and Carry On Deryck both go for the G2 Topkapi Trophy, staged over a mile on turf.

Dream Castle, after a slow start, stayed on to be seventh, beaten a length and a half, in the seven-furlong G2 Lennox Stakes at Goodwood, UK, on August 1.

The three-year-old colt finished fifth in the mile British Classic, the G1 2000 Guineas at Newmarket in May, and second behind another Godolphin runner Barney Roy in the G3 Greenham Stakes over a furlong shorter at Newbury the previous month.

Carry On Deryck made his first start of 2017 when the half-length third in the G3 Sovereign Stakes over a mile at Salisbury on August 17.

The five-year-old son of Halling ended 2016 with two very good efforts over nine furlongs at Newmarket, UK, in October, finishing second in both the G3 Darley Stakes and Cambridgeshire Heritage Handicap.

Gerald Mosse takes the ride on Dream Castle, drawn nine, and Oisin Murphy partners Carry On Deryck, who emerges from stall eight, both for the first time.

Saeed bin Suroor said: “Dream Castle is a tough horse and always works really nicely.

“I was very happy with his latest piece of work on the Limekilns and the mile on turf will suit him.

“Carry On Deryck ran well on his comeback at Salisbury earlier this month. He has been in good form since and he is also best suited by a mile.

“I am looking forward to a good performance from both horses.”

There are eight other runners in the Topkapi Trophy, including dual G2 scorer Kool Kompany.

Secret Number makes his first appearance of the year in the G2 International Bosphorus Cup over a mile and a half on turf, with Gerald Mosse in the saddle.

The seven-year-old son of Raven’s Pass ran three times in 2016, winning on his seasonal debut in a 10-furlong Listed contest at Ayr, UK, in September before heading out to Australia, where he finished down the field in the both G1 Melbourne Cup and G2 Zipping Classic.

Saeed bin Suroor remarked: “This will be Secret Number’s first run of the year but he has been working well at home and did a really good piece of work on the Limekilns recently.

“The trip will suit him and he should put up a good performance.”

The six other starters in the International Bosphorus Cup include Listed winner Crimean Tatar and Elbereth, who was third in the race last year.
