The John Gosden-trained four-year-old broke smartly for James Doyle and soon led the eight-strong field.
He battled away after being headed by Arab Spring and Pether's Moon entering the final quarter-mile to go down by a length and three-quarters in total.
Arab Spring won in 2m 32.35s on good to firm ground.
