John O'Shea commented: "Haptic was well away and moved through to lead. He travelled very kindly in front and once asked to quicken he kept finding up to the line. He was very impressive today. He is a horse in form and will probably not have another run through to the Slipper.
"Furnaces jumped well and moved up to sit in behind the leaders. He travelled nicely in running and made a move at the top of the straight always finding towards the line. He was still a bit green and definitely needed the run. It was a very decent effort. He will now head to the Todman in three weeks' time."
