Havana Cooler makes his third Australian start in the Group Three SKY Thoroughbred Central Kingston Town Stakes over a mile and a quarter at Rosehill Gardens, Australia, on Saturday, September 12.
The John O'Shea-trained five-year-old failed to run his race on the tight track at Wyong when coming home last of 13 in the Listed Carlton Mid Wyong Gold Cup over a similar distance on September 4.
He stayed on well to be a never-nearer sixth in a blanket finish to a nine-furlong handicap on his Australian debut at Rosehill Gardens on August 15.
Havana Cooler raced in the UK prior to this season and was placed in four valuable handicaps over 12 and 14 furlongs as well as winning twice, including a comfortable success over Pether's Moon, a subsequent Group One winner, in a 12-furlong Newmarket handicap.
John O'Shea commented: "Havana Cooler presents into this race off a very disappointing performance in the Wyong Gold Cup where he became disorientated on the tight turning track.
"As he has done so well in the last week, I felt it was a necessity to get him back to the races and get a positive performance under his belt before heading towards the Metropolitan.
"He has had a relatively easy week, has bounced back physically and only has to replicate his first-up performance to be in the finish of this race."
Havana Cooler, who is ridden by Joao Moreira for the first time, tackles six rivals headed by recent Rosehill Gardens Listed runner-up Silverball.
