Hazard makes a second consecutive appearance at Group Three level over six furlongs at Caulfield, Australia, in the William Hill Sprint Series Heat Two on Saturday, September 19.

The six-year-old mare, representing Lee & Anthony Freedman, finished strongly when just failing by a nose to beat Madam Gangster in heat one of the William Hill Sprint Series on August 29.

She was seventh in the Group One Sky Racing Tatt's Club Tiara over seven furlongs at Gold Coast in June and gained three straight wins, including an impressive victory in the Group Two Best Security Dane Ripper Stakes over a slightly shorter trip at Doomben.

Hazard took the six-furlong Group Three William Hill Proud Miss Stakes in good style at Morphettville in May and enjoyed a brave head success in a Caulfield handicap over five and a half furlongs earlier the same month.

Anthony Freedman commented: "Second-up from a spell and just when you thought the law of averages might help us, Hazard has drawn barrier 15 of 15 here which isn't ideal.

"That said that this race is not up to much more than Group Three or Listed standard and I think, provided we ride her similarly as we did three weeks ago,she will be extremely hard to beat. I am very pleased with the mare."

Hazard, ridden again by Ben Melham, faces 14 opponents headed by Vezalay, who was a close eighth in the Group One William Reid Stakes last season, and Group Two Kewney Stakes winner Wawail.
