Hazard seeks a second straight win on her return to Group Three company in the six-furlong William Hill Proud Miss Stakes at Morphettville, Australia, on Saturday, May 16.

The five-year-old mare, representing Lee & Anthony Freedman, rallied gamely for a head success over Miss Promiscuity as the pair dominated the finish of a Caulfield handicap over half a furlong shorter on May 2.

Hazard was seventh in the Listed Bel Esprit Stakes, also over five and a half furlongs at Caulfield, on April 18 and gained a head verdict on her return from a break in a five-furlong handicap at Sandown-Hillside on April 1.

The daughter of Flying Spur, who is ridden by Ben Melham, has made five appearances at Group Three level including finishing second in the Premier Signs Mannerism Stakes over seven furlongs at Caulfield in February, 2014.

Anthony Freedman commented: "Hazard has drawn perfectly in gate two of 14 and Ben Melham should be able to give her the run of the race from there.

"Under the weight scale, where she carries pretty much the minimum, she should be extremely competitive in a race such as this."

Hazard meets 12 fillies and mares headed by I Love It and Miss Steele, who were third and fourth in the Group One William Hill Classic, plus Group Three runner-up Miss Promiscuity.
