Hazard, trained by Lee and Anthony Freedman, returns to action in the Group Three William Hill Sprint Series Heat 1 over six furlongs at Caulfield , Australia, on Saturday, August 29.
The six-year-old mare was last seen out at Gold Coast on June 20, when she was seventh of 15 in the Group One Sky Racing Tattersall's Club Tiara.
She registered three consecutive victories, headlined by a ready triumph in the seven-furlong Group Two Best Security Dane Ripper Stakes at Doomben on June 6. She was also successful in the Group Three William Hill Proud Miss Stakes over six furlongs at Morphettville on May 16 and in a valuable extended five-furlong handicap at Caulfield on May 2.
Anthony Freedman said: "Hazard has progressed brilliantly in her preparation for the William Hill Stakes and I have no queries about her fitness and the way she is going at present.
"Unfortunately, she has drawn barrier 17 which can often be a difficult gate at the 1,200-metre start at Caulfield, albeit they run in a straight line from the one bend. Naturally, she will have to take up a position, probably three-deep with cover and hopefully she can finish off strongly from that sort of scenario.
"I am sure she is going to run extremely well and should progress on nicely to the Let's Elope Stakes in a fortnight."
Hazard, partnered by Ben Melham, takes on 15 opponents including Group One Canturbury Stakes winner Cosmic Endeavour, Schweppes Oaks scorer May's Dream and recent winner Vezalay.
