Hidden Gold steps back up in trip for the G2 QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup over two miles at Ascot, UK, on Saturday, October 17, QIPCO British Champions Day.

The four-year-old filly, representing Saeed bin Suroor, faded to ninth on her latest appearance in the G2 DFS Park Hill Stakes over a furlong and a half shorter at Doncaster on September 10.

She ran a better race to take third in the extended two-mile G2 Weatherbys Hamilton Lonsdale Cup at York on August 21 and was second to subsequent Ladbrokes St Leger winner Simple Verse in the 14-furlong G3 Markel Insurance Fillies' Stakes at Goodwood on July 30.

The daughter of Shamardal was a never-nearer fifth in the G3 Longines Sagaro Stakes, run over the same course and distance as the QIPCO British Champions Long Distance Cup, in April and gained three wins during the All-Weather Championships over the winter.

Saeed bin Suroor said: "Hidden Gold is a tough filly, who always tries hard, and the return to two miles will play to her strengths.

"She has won on good to soft going in the past and the ground should be fine for her.

"She was a little disappointing at Doncaster but has been working well and I am looking for a good run from her."

Hidden Gold, who is ridden by her regular rider James Doyle, meets 12 rivals including Newmarket Listed winner Flying Officer, Irish St Leger runner-up Agent Murphy and last year's victor Forgotten Rules.
