The two-year-old colt, trained by Richard Hannon and ridden by William Buick, broke fastest of the five runners and went ahead.
He led until two furlongs out when passed by winner Painted Cliffs and lost out for second in the closing stages after drifting right.
Log Out Island was beaten two and a three quarter lengths, and a length and a quarter, with the winning time being 1m 13.29s for the six furlongs.
