It's Somewhat makes his Godolphin debut for John O'Shea in the Group Three Liverpool City Cup at Warwick Farm, Australia, on Saturday, February 28.
The four-year-old races over six and a half furlongs for the first time after appearing over significantly further in the UK last year, including when coming home 10th in the Group One Ladbrokes St Leger over an extended 14 furlongs at Doncaster on September 15.
He stayed on to take a close fifth over a furlong shorter in the Group Three Betfred TV Geoffrey Freer Stakes at Newbury in August and went down by a head and a neck in the 12-furlong Group Three Neptune Investment Management Gordon Stakes at Goodwood in July.
The son of Dynaformer, who was named Somewhat prior to this year, ran a superb race to take third behind Mukhadram and Trading Leather in the Group One Coral-Eclipse over a mile and a quarter at Sandown Park at the start of July.
He was beaten a neck in the mile Group Two Juddmonte Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket in September, 2013, and readily won a seven-furlong Listed race at Newbury the previous month.
John O'Shea remarked: "It's Somewhat has pleased us no end since his arrival here. This is a significant drop in grade for him considering the quality of the races he has contested in England.
"From barrier five, he should present nicely at mid-field and I expect him to be right in the finish of this race. On his past record and breeding, 1,300 metres is not the traditional sort of race for him but we can only judge on what he has shown us in Australia.
"His two barrier trials have been excellent where he showed a good turn of foot and I am told by a very reliable source that he is the best of our European horses, so we look forward to confirming such judgement."
It's Somewhat, partnered by James McDonald, opposes 13 including Flemington Listed winner Red Excitement, Group Three Sands Stakes victor Pornichet and Group Two Expressway Stakes third Territory.
