Javanica third in G2 Yellow Ribbon Handicap

Javanica secured more valuable G2 Black Type with another spirited display in the Yellow Ribbon Handicap at Del Mar, USA, on Saturday, 13 August.
The Medaglia d’Oro homebred had attempted to make all when finishing second to Going Global in the G2 Royal Heroine Stakes at Santa Anita in April and once again took up the early running under Drayden van Dyke.
Javanica was headed by her old rival Going Global at the top of the straight but the Eoin Harty-trained filly stuck to her task after being passed by Avenue de France inside the final furlong, holding on gamely for third.
