Last year’s winner Jimmy Two Times tries for a repeat success in the G3 Prix Edmond Blanc at Saint-Cloud, France, on Monday, 2 April.

The five-year-old horse was the very impressive victor of the mile contest in 2017 and went on to land the G2 Prix du Muguet over the same course and distance the following month when he scored by half a length from Kourkan.

He did not race again last year and makes his seasonal debut on Monday.

In 2016 Jimmy Two Times was a G3 winner over seven furlongs at Deauville and also performed well at G1 level, finishing third in the extended six-furlong Prix Maurice de Gheest at the same venue.

Mickael Barzalona takes the ride on Jimmy Two Times, who races for Godolphin for the first time, with the horse breaking from stall four.

The field of eight also includes G3 winner Stormy Antarctic plus Listed scorers Vilaro, Marie D'Argent and Enlighted.

Lisa-Jane Graffard of Godolphin said: “Jimmy Two Times has some very good form, but is obviously coming off a very long layoff.

“He had some minor surgery in December and is excellent form at home. Andre Fabre is very happy with the horse.

“The ground should be fine for him and this race looks a good starting point. Hopefully, it can be a springboard for the rest of the season.”
