Log Out Island races on Polytrack for the first time as he steps up to seven furlongs in the G3 Betfred World Snooker Starts Today Greenham Stakes at Chelmsford City, UK, on Saturday, April 16.

The race, normally a leading trial for the 2,000 Guineas, was switched to the All-Weather Chelmsford City Racecourse after waterlogging forced the abandonment of Newbury's turf meeting.

The Richard Hannon-trained three-year-old ran well on numerous occasions last season, including enjoying a decisive all-the-way success in the six-furlong Listed totepool Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar in October.

The colt took part in some of the UK's top juvenile races and was runner-up at G2 level in both the Dubai Duty Free Mill Reef Stakes over six furlongs at Newbury in September and the five-furlong Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.

Log Out Island, drawn four and ridden for the third time by James Doyle, faces three rivals.

Richard Hannon said: "Log Out Island has done very well over the winter.

"He has been working very well and has been settling much better at home, so we are hopeful that he can stay seven furlongs."
