Log Out Island steps back up to Pattern company for the five-furlong Group Two Fly Aer Lingus From Doncaster Sheffield Flying Childers Stakes at Doncaster, UK, on Friday, September 11.

The Richard Hannon-trained two-year-old came home second, beaten three lengths by subsequent Group Three winner Yakaba, in a Listed race over the same distance on heavy ground at Deauville, France, on August 15.

He made two appearances at Group Two level over six furlongs, finishing seventh in the Qatar Richmond Stakes at Goodwood on July 30 and taking third in the GAIN Railway Stakes at the Curragh, Ireland, on June 27.

The son of Dark Angel started out with two five-furlong appearances at Ascot, following up an impressive debut win on April 29 with a half-length second in the Group Two Norfolk Stakes at the Royal meeting on June 18.

Richard Hannon commented: "Log Out Island disappointed when dropped in grade in France last time, though the winner has since landed a Group Three in a fast time, so maybe we should not be too down.

"Log Out Island has plenty of pace and, though he paid the penalty for getting in a trail-blazing scrap with King of Rooks at Royal Ascot, he has not looked the same horse when held up.

"While we won't want to make the same mistake as we did at the Royal meeting, we won't be disappointing him."

James Doyle takes the ride for the first time on Log Out Island, drawn one, who faces eight other two-year-olds headed by Group One Darley Prix Morny runner-up Gutaifan and unbeaten Group Three winner Bear Cheek.

Godolphin won the Flying Childers Stakes in 2009 with Sand Vixen.
