Four-year-old fillies Lucida and Devonshire provide Godolphin with strong representation in G2 Lanwades Stud Stakes over a mile at the Curragh, Ireland, on Saturday, May 21.
Lucida (Jim Bolger/Kevin Manning), a daughter of Shamardal, makes her first start since coming home a close sixth, beaten a length and a half in total, in a messy renewal of the G1 QIPCO Falmouth Stakes over the same trip at Newmarket in July last year.
She ran excellently in the UK's top G1 mile races for three-year-old fillies, coming home third in the G1 Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot in June and filling the runner-up spot in the G1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas at Newmarket the previous month.
Devonshire (Willie McCreery/Billy Lee) was headed in the closing stages when runner-up on her seasonal return in the G3 Lodge Park Stud EBF Park Express Stakes, run over the same course and distance as the Lanwades Stud Stakes, on March 20.
The Fast Company filly also ran well over a mile at the Curragh when third in last year's Tattersalls Irish 1000 Guineas and readily won a nine-furlong Listed contest on heavy ground at Listowel in September.
Jim Bolger said: "Lucida is very well.
"She might be a little rusty after being off the track for so long but I am expecting a good run."
Willie McCreery reported: "Devonshire is in great form. There are some heavy showers forecast and any rain will tip the balance into our favour a tiny bit.
"Lucida is the filly to beat and, hopefully, Godolphin can have the winner one way or another."
A field of seven for the Lanwades Stud Stakes also features last season's G1 Poule d'Essai des Pouliches runner-up Irish Rookie and dual G3 scorer Ainippe.
