Majestic Queen makes her Group One debut in the LARC Prix Maurice de Gheest over six and a half furlongs at Deauville, France, on Sunday, August 9.

The five-year-old mare, trained by Tracey Collins, kept on to come home second behind Ainippe, who was receiving 8lb, in the seven-furlong Group Three Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Brownstown Stakes at Fairyhouse on July 5.

She was third in the Group Two Weatherbys Ireland Greenlands Stakes over six furlongs at the Curragh on May 23, and gained an impressive victory over a furlong further in the Group Three Betfred Chartwell Fillies' Stakes on turf at Lingfield Park, UK, on May 9.

The daughter of Kheleyf was also an easy winner of the Group Three Ballyogan Stakes over six furlongs at Leopardstown in 2014, and captured a valuable seven-furlong handicap at the Curragh in 2013.

Tracey Collins said: "Majestic Queen is in very good form. She did her last piece of work the other day and we are very happy with her.

"The track and a slowly-run race possibly didn't suit her in the Brownstown Stakes but the one that beat her is a smart filly.

"Sunday's contest is a very, very competitive race, which you would expect it to be but Majestic Queen has improved this year and will be doing her very best."

Majestic Queen, ridden by James Doyle for the third time, faces 11 rivals including Darley July Cup and Commonwealth Cup winner Muhaarar, Prix Rothschild scorer Esoterique and three-time Group One victor Gordon Lord Byron.

Diktat won the Prix Maurice de Gheest for Godolphin in 1999.
