Move Up goes for more glory in Cumberland Lodge

Progressive three-year-old Move Up bids for a second straight Pattern race success in the 12-furlong G3 Gigaset Cumberland Lodge Stakes (14.30hrs local time) at Ascot, UK, on Saturday, October 1.
The son of Dubawi, representing Saeed bin Suroor, was a decisive two-length winner of the G2 International Bosphorus Cup over the same distance at Veliefendi, Turkey, on September 4.
The Godolphin colt was collared near the line to finish a close third in a valuable Goodwood handicap, also over a mile and a half, in July and ran on strongly to score by a short-head in a 10-furlong handicap at Ascot on his seasonal return earlier the same month.
Move Up, with William Buick riding, takes on eight rivals including G3 winners Arab Spring, Kings Fete and Western Hymn, who has finished third in the two most recent renewals of the G1 Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Saeed bin Suroor commented: "Move Up won well out in Turkey and came out of that race in good form.
"I have been pleased with his work and I am looking for another good run."
Also at Saturday’s fixture at Ascot, G3 Sceptre Stakes runner-up Mise En Rose (Charlie Appleby/William Buick, drawn 16) takes part in the 17-runner Listed Totepool EBF Stallions Breeding Winners October Stakes (14.00hrs local time) over seven furlongs.
