Progressive three-year-old Pearls bids for another major victory at Royal Randwick, Australia, in the Group One Coolmore Flight Stakes over a mile on Saturday, October 3.

The Exceed And Excel filly, trained by John O'Shea and ridden for the first time by by James McDonald, ran on strongly from the rear for a cosy long neck verdict over Honesta in the seven-furlong Group Two Coolmore Tea Rose Stakes at the same course on September 19.

She was runner-up in a six-furlong handicap at Canterbury on September 2 and made an impressive debut in a Gosford maiden over the same distance on August 13.

John O'Shea commented: "Pearls presents into this lovely Group One race having had a really good preparation.

"From gate seven, James should be able to present her mid-field with the opportunity to come to the outside.

"If they run along, she will be very strong late - she has trained on magnificently and improved dramatically since her last start win.

"I am really looking forward to seeing her compete at Group One level."

Pearls takes on 10 other three-year-old fillies including Golden Rose Stakes runner-up Speak Fondly, Honesta and Tea Rose Stakes fourth Sempre Libera.
