Promising Run goes for a third straight win at Newmarket in the mile Group One Dubai Fillies' Mile, highlight of day one of the Dubai Future Champions Festival, Friday, October 9.

The two-year-old daughter of Hard Spun, trained in Newmarket by Saeed bin Suroor, steps up in class and trip following her impressive victory over seven furlongs of the Rowley Mile course in the Group Two Shadwell Rockfel Stakes on September 25.

She was also the decisive winner of a seven-furlong maiden on Newmarket's July Course on August 28 and came home third on her debut in a Goodwood maiden over a furlong shorter on July 29.

Saeed bin Suroor said: "Promising Run won the Rockfel Stakes nicely and came out of the race in good form.

"She worked on Monday and everything went well.

"She is ready to take her chance in a Group One contest, but this looks a tough race."

William Buick has the ride for the first time on Promising Run, drawn seven, who meets nine opponents headed by Group One Moyglare Stud Stakes scorer Minding and unbeaten Newbury conditions race winner Nathra.
