Lightly-raced five-year old Sky Hunter returns from a break in the 11-furlong Group Three Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup at Newbury, UK, on Saturday, September 19.
The Saeed bin Suroor-trained son of Motivator steps down a furlong after gaining a smooth victory over a mile and a half in the Group Two Dubai City Of Gold Sponsored By Emirates SkyCargo at Meydan, UAE, on March 7.
He made four appearances last year, all in the UK, and ended his campaign with a nine-length success in the Group Three Worthington's Burlison Inns Stakes, also over 12 furlongs, at Newbury in October.
He won on three of his four starts as a three-year-old in France, and came third in the Group One Prix du Jockey Club, the French Derby, over 10 and a half furlongs at Chantilly.
James Doyle, who rode Sky Hunter to victory at Meydan and Newbury, is in the saddle again.
Saeed bin Suroor said: "Sky Hunter has been working nicely and looks to be in good condition.
"He won very well at Newbury last season and then went on to take a Group Two race out in Dubai.
"I am looking forward to getting back on the racecourse, although he will improve for the run."
Sky Hunter, who has an entry in the Emirates Melbourne Cup, takes on five rivals headed by Eagle Top, who was beaten a nose in the Group One King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes Sponsored By QIPCO, and Prince Of Wales's Stakes fourth The Corsican.
Sights On Gold won the Dubai Duty Free Legacy Cup for Godolphin in 2004.
