Start Time lost out by a nose in an eventful renewal of the G3 Worthington's Whizz Kidz Stakes at Newbury, UK, on Saturday, October 24.

The Saeed bin Suroor-trained juvenile broke smartly and raced keenly in second for William Buick throughout the first half of the seven-furlong contest.

He moved up to take the lead from Opera Baron over two furlongs from home and forged clear approaching the final furlong, only to veer across the course soon after and forfeit his advantage.

Start Time ran on again after straightening up but was headed on the line by Crazy Horse, who won in 1m 29.69s on ground described as good to soft (soft in places), with another nose back to Return Of The Mak in third.

Godolphin representative Bruce Raymond commented: "Start Time ran a good race. He lost his concentration a little in the closing stages but battled back at the line.

"He loved the ground today and should make a nice three-year-old."
