Tarquin bids to maintain his unbeaten record in the Group One Inglis Sires over seven furlongs at Royal Randwick, Australia, on Saturday, April 4.
The two-year-old Hard Spun colt, trained by John O'Shea, came with a strong late run to take the Group Two Pago Pago Stakes in good style over six furlongs at Rosehill Gardens on March 14.
He ran on gamely to score by a long neck under a hands and heels ride on his debut in a Newcastle maiden over an extended six furlongs on February 19.
John O'Shea reported: "I think Tarquin will be much better suited to 1,400 metres - we always felt he would be better suited when he did get out a bit in distance. This is a significant step up in grade going to Group One level but he is an undefeated colt.
"James McDonald will be able to ride him conservatively from gate seven. He galloped well on Wednesday morning, he is fit and well and happy and hopefully that lays the foundation for a competitive performance here."
Tarquin, partnered by James McDonald, takes on nine other juveniles including Group One Blue Diamond Stakes winner Pride Of Dubai plus English and Ready For Victory, who were second and fourth in the Group One Tooheys New Golden Slipper.
