Top Owner honours for Godolphin at Keeneland

"Having four winners on the same card was one of the highlights of my career, especially for Sheikh Mohammed and Godolphin"

Godolphin captured a first leading owner title at Keeneland Racecourse, USA, following five wins at the Kentucky track’s prestigious Spring Meet, which concluded on Friday, April 28.

An excellent 15-day meeting for the royal blue silks included a remarkable four-timer on April 15, headlined by a breakthrough G1 success for Dickinson in the Jenny Wiley Stakes and the victory of Watershed in the G3 Ben Ali Stakes.

Kiaran McLaughlin, responsible for training all five of Godolphin’s winners, said: “It was a great Keeneland Spring Meet and the horses all ran very well.

“It is very special to be involved in Godolphin receiving the leading owner title and we have a great team of people behind us.

“Having four winners on the same card was one of the highlights of my career, especially for Sheikh Mohammed and Godolphin, and hopefully we can look forward to a few more good days this year.”
