Twilight Payment goes in the G3 Irish St Leger Trial over a mile and six furlongs at the Curragh, Ireland, on Saturday, 25 August.

The five-year-old Teofilo gelding, trained by Jim Bolger, was the comfortable three and a half-length winner of the Listed Her Majesty's Plate over the same distance at Down Royal on 27 July.

He began the current campaign by taking second to multiple G1 winner Order Of St George in the Listed Saval Beg Stakes over 14 furlongs at Leopardstown on 25 May and was third in the G3 Curragh Cup, also run over 14 furlongs, on 1 July.

In six starts at the Curragh, Twilight Payment has only once finished out of the first three. His two wins at the course came in the two-mile Listed Loughbrown Stakes in September, 2016 and a 12-furlong maiden in July of the same year.

Kevin Manning takes the ride on Twilight Payment once again with the seven other starters set to include Flag Of Honour and Giuseppe Garibaldi, who were first and second in the Curragh Cup.

Jimmy Hyland of Godolphin said: “Twilight Payment won well last time out in Listed company at Down Royal.

“We know he goes well at the Curragh and this race looks to be a good opportunity for him.

“We will see how he gets on Saturday. If he runs well we can look at going for the G1 Irish St Leger back on the Curragh on Irish Champions Weekend.”
