Wedding Dress steps up to G3 level for her seasonal return in the Herecomesthebride Stakes over an extended mile on turf at Gulfstream Park, USA, on Saturday, February 27.

The three-year-old filly, trained by Tom Albertrani, made three juvenile appearances, all on turf, including when coming home sixth over a mile in the non-graded Chelsea Flower Stakes at Belmont Park on October 31.

She gained a cosy neck success in a maiden, also over a mile at Belmont Park, in September and went down by the same margin on her debut in a Saratoga maiden over an extended mile in August.

Tom Albertrani commented: "It seemed fitting to run Wedding Dress in this race - she has been training very well and the Herecomesthebride looked like a good option.

"We actually considered running her at the Breeders' Cup following her maiden win last year but decided to be slightly more conservative with her.

"It looks like this will be a very competitive race but I feel that she may fit in well. She had two good races last season and we can forgive her last run a little because the ground was softer on that occasion."

Wedding Dress, ridden by Luis Saez for the first time and drawn five, tackles seven other three-year-old fillies headed by G1 Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf scorer Catch A Glimpse and the undefeated Lira.
