Tryster bids for a fourth straight win on his Pattern debut in the Group Three Coral.co.uk Winter Derby over a mile and a quarter on Polytrack at Lingfield Park, UK, on Saturday, March 14.
The Charlie Appleby-trained four-year-old ran on strongly from the rear to take a Kempton Park handicap, also over 10 furlongs on Polytrack, by a length and a half on March 4.
He won a Tapeta handicap readily over half a furlong shorter at Wolverhampton on February 9 and scored by a short-head in 10-furlong handicap on Polytrack at Chelmsford City on January 11.
Charlie Appleby said: "Tryster goes into this race with a nice, progressive profile. He has come out of his last win at Kempton Park very well, has a decent draw in stall four and a mile and a quarter is a great trip for him.
"He has gained confidence over the winter and we have learned more about him as time has gone on. He is in a rich vein of form and we don't quite know where he is going to end up.
"We certainly haven't got to the bottom of him and I am confident that he will run another big race."
Tryster, with Adam Kirby in the saddle, takes on 11 rivals including course and distance Listed winners Grendisar and Battalion, US Grade Two victor Grandeur and Group Three scorer Captain Cat.
