Progressive filly Wholeness chases a fourth straight win on her G3 debut in the Mermaid Stakes at Kyoto, Japan, on Sunday, 16 June.
The Lope de Vega four-year-old, whose dam Missunited was runner-up in the G1 Gold Cup at Royal Ascot in 2014, hasn’t looked back since a head second on her debut at Hanshin in April, 2023.
After winning a Niigata maiden the following month, the Hideaki Fujiwara-trained filly posted a cosy allowance race victory on her only other three-year-old appearance at Chukyo in December.
Wholeness headed back to Chukyo for her seasonal return in March and impressed again as she quickened clear to take a Stakes race by a length and three-quarters.
